"Our goal is to be your first choice in your selection process of where to feed your next pen of cattle," Jeff Sternberger said.  Jeff Sternberger is manager and part owner of Midwest Feeders, Inc., a 45,000 head commercial feedlot north of Ingalls, Kansas.  In 1992 he and a small group of investors bought a closed 4,000 head feedyard.  Sternberger then began building a management team and enlarging the operation to a capacity of 20,000 by 1996.  After purchasing a section of land across the highway a new addition and new feedmill which included a steam-flaker for their feed corn increased the capacity to the current 45,000 head.

The management team of Sternberger, Assistant Manager Doug Althouse, Office Manager Michelle Averhoff, Cattle Foreman Frank Littrell, Payables Clerk Shelly Whipple and Cattle Clerk Cortnie Price has made customer satisfaction their goal and will settle for nothing less.
